Article is devoted to an actual issue of history of medicine – to the analysis of the role and importance of religious and philosophical landmarks in the development of the history of science in general and medicine in particular. The author analyzes with regard to the principle of historicism. In the article the large amount of factual material, an analysis of the sources that are relevant to the disclosure of the problem.
